What 3 Dôen-Adorned Editors Are Buying From the Latest Gap x Dôen Drop

If you ask me how I feel about Gap and Dôen collaborating for a second time, I’d point you to the first-round Gap x Dôen denim jacket that’s currently hanging on a hook by my front door. Or maybe I’d point you to my sister’s, which is identical and lives directly next to it? I bought two last spring—one for me and one for her—because it was so cute I knew she’d want to borrow mine and I wouldn’t want to give it to her.

All that is to say… I’m excited. And I’m not the only one.

On May 2, the brands are coming together once again for a 38-piece collection including some returning favorites, new silhouettes and prints, baby clothes, and even men’s apparel (a first for the brand) at a more-affordable-than-straight-from-the-source price point.

Gap

“Our first collection with Dôen set a new bar for how a collaboration can infuse a fresh perspective into Gap essentials, creating covetable pieces that left our customers wanting more,” Mark Breitbard, President and CEO of Gap, shared in a press release. “Reuniting with Dôen—an inspiring partner that shares our values—has allowed us to build on that momentum with a new summer-ready collection.”

All pieces were produced in international factories that participate in RISE, aka Reimagining Industry to Support Equality, an organization working to advance gender equity in the international garment world. Browsing the new lineup, you’ll find a feminine interpretation of the Gap logo (placed on your very favorite sweatshirt and hoodie, naturally), plenty of eyelets (duh, it’s Dôen), cute matching sets to help you live your English countryside or fisherman aesthetic dreams, and a number of denim staples (good news for me and my sister, there’s another jacket).

Gap x Dôen Gingham Maxi Skirt

GAP

“I’ve had my eye on the gingham version of Doen’s Sebastiane Skirt for the longest time now, but just couldn’t justify the $228 price tag when I already have the same skirt in Salt. But at $98, the Gap x Doen version is almost identical to the original, and for less than half the cost. Trust that I will be sat at noon (on the dot) to add this to cart so it can finally be mine. When I’m experiencing major wardrobe fatigue or just want to feel put together when I’m bopping around the neighborhood, I’ll just sub in a skirt like this instead of yoga pants—it’s just as comfortable, but 1000x more polished with a plain tee. (And if I’m being honest with myself, I’ll probably get the matching top too.)”

Gap x Dôen Eyelet Maxi Dress in Black

GAP

“I didn’t buy this dress last year and I have been truly kicking myself ever since (I have three different friends who all own it, and they all look amazing in it). However, I’m actually glad I waited since I like the new black even better than the original white. The signature Dôen eyelet is so pretty, and it will be the perfect easy dress to throw on for the office or a dinner on a sticky summer day.”

Gap x Dôen Floral Maxi Dress

GAP

“I still wear pieces from last year’s Gap x Dôen collab, so naturally, I planned my buy as soon as the 2025 drop was announced. Dôen is known for their micro floral prints, and this blue pattern immediately caught my eye. As someone with a curvier body, I love the flattering fit and flare silhouette with subtle ruffle detailing under the bust and just below the hip. Most importantly, the cotton material seems breathable, making it ideal for those dreadfully hot summer days ahead. I anticipate this quickly becoming a seasonal staple in my closet.”

You can shop the Gap x Dôen collection beginning Friday, May 2 at 12 p.m. ET on gap.com and in select Gap stores. Prices range from $34 to $158.
